Welcome to the
Young 5 Classroom!

In Young 5s, children prepare for the transition to kindergarten by being challenged academically in a play-based environment. Children work on letters, beginning reading skills, letter formation, numerical skills, as well as simple science and social studies concepts. The kindergarten common core curriculum is the guide for Young 5s, but it is adapted to fit the developmental needs of each individual child. Children have fun growing socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually in a developmentally appropriate classroom.
